International Journal of Business Management & Social Studies

The International Journal of Business Management & Social Studies (IJBMSS) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to exchanging the academic researchers and corporate professionals on all aspects of business, management, economics, and social sciences especially in Asian context of the world.

It’s a journal published biannually in both print and online versions to keep readers up-to-date with the latest developments in the business management, economics and social sciences in Asia and rest of the world. There is a growing need to manage both business and social organizations efficiently and effectively and also disseminate scholastic knowledge and ideas collected through empirical research by the academics and professional communities for the addition of new knowledge and solving the real-life problems of the organizations. The journal is managed by an international editorial board.

IJBMSS is a multidisciplinary journal which publishes blind peer reviewed high quality empirical research papers. The scope of the journal is all the fields of business, management, economics and social sciences including, accounting and accounting information systems, corporate governance, development economics, economic policies, research in education, environmental studies, finance & banking, human geography, tourism and hospitality, insurance and actuarial science, international relations, legal studies, business research, marketing research, mass communication, management information system (MIS), management of businesses, international business, operations management and research, supply chain management, conflict management, population studies, public administration and management, organizational behavior, quantitative and qualitative management,  social policy and social welfare, sociology, teaching-learning process, digital teaching and evaluation, Asian studies, South Asian studies, and women studies.

IJBMSS welcomes scholars, researchers and business professionals engaged in the related fields to submit their original manuscripts on of business, management, economics, social sciences and other related fields of studies which are complete unpublished and original work and not under review in any other journals.

About the Journal – IJBMSS

The mission of the International Journal of Business Management & Social Studies (IJBMSS) is to disseminate knowledge and ideas collected through empirical research by the academics and professional communities across the business and management community. The key disciplines are business, management, economics, and social sciences. The above list is not exhaustive and empirical research papers representing any other business and management fields will also be considered.

Publication Ethics

After publication decision corresponding author should sign “Copyright Transfer Agreement Form” which is included following items:                                

COPYRIGHT

1. The main author and each co-authors shall transfer and sell their rights to the publisher for the length of the copyright starting from the moment the present agreement comes into force the exclusive rights to the materials, including the rights to translate, reproduce, transfer, distribute or otherwise use the materials or parts (fragments) contained therein, for publication in scientific, academic, technical or professional journals or other periodicals and in derivative work thereof, worldwide, in English, in print or in electronic editions of such journals, periodicals and derivative work in all media or formats existing now or that may exist in future, as well as the right to license (or give permission to) third parties to use the materials for publication in such journals, periodicals and derivative work worldwide. The transfer under this agreement includes the right to adapt the presentation of the materials for use in conjunction with computer systems and programs, reproduction or publication in machine-readable format and incorporation into retrieval systems.

2. Reproduction, placement, transfer or any other distribution or use of the materials, or any parts of the materials contained therein, in any way permitted under this agreement, shall be accompanied by reference to the journal and mentioned of the publisher, namely: the title of the article, the name of the author (Co-authors), the name of the journal, volume/number, copyright of the publisher.

Reserved Rights

The author(s) or the employer of the author(s) of the materials shall retain all proprietary rights (with the exception of the rights transferred to the publisher under the present agreement).

 

Author Guarantee

The author(s) guarantees that the materials are an original work, submitted only to IJBMSS, and have not been published previously.

In case the materials were written jointly with co-authors, the author guarantees that he/she has informed them of the terms of this agreement and obtained their signatures or written permission to singe on their behalf.

The Author guarantees as well that:
The materials do not contain libelous statements.

The materials do not infringe on other persons’ rights (including without limitation copyrights, patent rights and the trademark right).

The materials do not contain facts or instructions that can cause damage or injury to third parties and their publication does not cause the disclosure of any secret or confidential information.

Submission Guidelines

Reviewing Process

All manuscripts will be reviewed by the editorial board and will be accepted if they meet the IJBMSS criteria and stand in harmony with the standards of the journal. After that all papers will undergo a double-blind reviewing process. Authors should send an electronic copy of their paper via email to the Executive Editor, who will then forward the paper to at least two reviewers. Reviewers are typically expected to respond within five weeks. Depending on the referees’ recommendations and comments the Executive Editor will contact the corresponding author to communicate the decision made and take further action if necessary.

Submissions

The guidelines of IJBMSS aim to make authors’ submissions as easy as possible. Usually, authors are asked to submit their papers in Microsoft Word format (please do not submit PDF files) and not to include personal information identifying the authors. Paper(s) also can be submitted online. It is suggested to all authors to use Times New Roman, 12pt font with double or 1 ½ paragraph spaces. Headings (up to 3 levels) should be clearly marked and numbered. Also, if there are tables and diagrams included, these should be placed within the body of the paper near the text that refers to them. These suggestions will allow for easier reading of the papers by the editors and the reviewers.


Please also note that the likelihood to reject the papers will increase, if:


  • papers that exits 3500 – 4500 words limit,
  • presented in bullet points,
  • with missing sections (i.e. hypothesis development, discussion),
  • without explicitly explained methodological steps (if quantitative study SEM study, authors should provide reliability/validity coefficients, CFA and SEM model fit indices)
  • without any theoretical contribution and the application to a wider research
  • without the analysis of findings and future research suggestions.

 

If a paper is accepted, the authors will be expected to submit their final manuscript to the editor in Microsoft Word. If there are additional requirements (e.g. the Editor may ask author(s) to submit separately high quality version of any diagrams used) these will be arranged between the Editor and the corresponding author. 

Submission Process

Author(s) should only submit original research articles/papers that have not been submitted to other journals at the same time. There are no costs associated with submissions or with publishing the articles except language editing.

This journal is also an open access journal meaning that all the contents of the journal is freely available without charge to the users. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles/papers or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
