Course Description:
This course will start a discussion from the Definition of Islamic Banking to Shariah-Compliance issues. It will highlight how to launch riba free Banking, what are the Principles of collecting Deposit, the Profit Distribution System under the Mudaraba Principle, Investment Sectors of Islamic Banks, Islamic Deposit Products, various Modes of Islamic Investments and structuring of Investment Proposals, etc. It will give learners a clear idea about Islamic Banking and its application and will also help them to structure Islamic Investment Proposals.
The audience of the Course:
Any interested person (General People/Banker) may be enrolled for this Course. Existing Bankers interested to work in Islamic Banking may get it beneficial for them.
Why this Course:
Islamic Banking in Bangladesh is growing rapidly. At present 25% of total Banking Assets are under the control of Islamic Banking. 25 Banks (Full-fledged 8 Islamic Banks + Islamic Banking Branches of 9 Conventional Banks + Islamic Banking Windows of 8 Conventional Banks) are operating Islamic Banking Business. Some more Banks are coming to provide the services. But Bangladesh has a lack of sufficient manpower having Islamic Banking knowledge. On the other hand, Customers should also have some knowledge of Islamic Banking. This course has been designed to develop efficient manpower having knowledge in Islamic Banking. It is expected that through this course, Banker, as well as general people (customers), will get an insight and operational knowledge of Islamic Banking. This course will be helpful not only for the beginners but also for the practitioners.
